I love google. Does anyone know of a search engine that is recommended for academic purposes because all the material has been approved by professors? I can't remember the name of it.

For school stuff? OK.
For writing, Purdue University's Online Writing Lab at http://owl.english.purdue.edu/. For tips on studying there's www.howtostudy.com/, and to look up information, I usually just go to www.answers.com or Google. Probably for a more reliable general search engine, you could try Information Please at www.infoplease.com/, although I haven't tryied looking ut anything outside of the index it already has. If I can think of any other sites, I'll let you know.

personally i'll search for both Yahoo and Google. from the result and the time that tke for searching the same thing, can easily know that which is better and which i should go for it. can't recognize on what is better though, cause gotta admit that its sometime will turn up something totally different from one another.
